Circular 3 has been published.  Please note that the final date for payment of 100% of the total fees is 31 October 2009.  Please direct any enquiries to Warren Rossiter.

Included with the Circular (as a separate document) is an entry form for all players who wish to participate in the Individual Championships.  This form must only be completed by players who are not participating in the Team Championships and who are not representing their union/region in an official capacity.

Software update

The registration software for capturing your player details have been updated.  A few bug fixes were made.

Download the update.  NB!  Before installing the software, make backups of any files you have already created and copy them to the appropriate folder once the update is installed.  Remember to copy/download the latest ratings database as well.
 
Circular 2

Circular 2 has been published.  Important items to take note of are:
•  Questionnaire (to be submitted no later than 31 August 2009).  An editable pdf version can be downloaded here.
•  Accommodation (accommodation fees and levies)
•  Transport (unions requiring transport to UCT)
•  Trophies (2008 winners to contact the Secretary)
•  Banking details (banking details made available)
•  Final tournament rules published

The final short list of arbiters have been compiled.  Successful candidates will be notified in due course.

Software
The help files (on how to use the software) have been added.  These are just plain rtf files which can be opened with any word processor.

Tournament rules
Some changes made to the tournament rules (mostly spelling ,grammar and references to the FIDE Laws of Chess).  The most important changes are Points 6.2 and 6.9.
